Knots for the Artsは、アーティストとギャラリスト、キュレーターからなるコレクティブ。アートと社会を結ぶコミュニケーションを基盤とした交流を促進し、多様な層の人々に開かれる芸術・文化のプラットフォームを形成することを目的に活動している。
さまざまな人々と対話しながら考えを共有し、拡張していくことを目指し、活動の軌跡をコレクティブのYouTubeチャンネルでアーカイブを公開している。

2022年4月　活動開始。「リサーチプロジェクト#01：社会とアートをつなぐ人たち」を開始する。
2022年7月　「だれもが文化でつながる国際会議」(東京都、公益財団法人東京歴史文化財団主催）のネットワーキングプログラムに参加。「未来とアートをつなぐ：韓国の文化芸術教育の事例に学ぶ」と題したグループ・ミーティングを企画。
2023年8月　リサーチとコミュニケーションを重ねながら活動する4人のアーティスト、宇多村英恵、本間メイ、キム・ウジン、金仁淑の作品を上映し、対話するプロジェクト「Screening Dialogue in Asia」を実施。それぞれの国内外の複数の土地を行き来した経験から「移動」や「移住」について、そしてコレクティブとして共同作業していくことなどについて語り合う場を創出した。

”Knots for the Arts” is a collective consisting of artists, gallerists and curators. It is dedicated to promoting communication-based exchanges between art and society, and to forming a platform for art and culture that is open to a diverse range of people.
Aiming to share and expand their ideas through dialogue with various people, the collective’s activities are archived on their YouTube channel.

Started as “Knots for the Arts” in April, 2022. Research Project #01: People Connecting Society and Art” begins.
In July 2022, participated in the networking program of the “Creative Wellbeing Tokyo – International Conference on Open Access to Culture 2022”. Organized a group meeting titled “Connecting the Future and Art: Learning from Korean Culture and Arts Education Case Studies”.
In August 2023, organized “Screening Dialogue in Asia,” a project to conduct a dialogue by screening the works of four artists, UTAMURA Hanae, HOMMA May, KIM Woojin, and KIM Insook, who have been working through research and communication. The program opened a conversation about “mobility” and “migration” based on each artist’s experience of moving between multiple locations in Japan and abroad, as well as about working together as a collective.
